Microgreening presents the highest quality springtails that are kept fresh & are quality controlled to maximize long term reproduction & health. Regular maintenance and close-up checking bring a high yielding, fresh tub with no nasties.
The most effective clean-up for terrariums. Springtails feed on mould and waste and reproduce quickly. Packaged with clean coco-coir, these springtails can be cultured in their current substrate with humidity and supplementary food. As these springtails feed off decomposing matter, they will regulate their population depending on the availability of food. Terrariums will show fluctuating amounts of springtails as the ecosystem goes through phases of speeding and slowing of decomposing due to environmental changes. Springtails can also be used as food for amphibians and small reptiles.
- Densely populated and highly quality controlled to ensure there is completely clean substrate and no contaminants inside the container at time of packaging to avoid contaminating the terrarium.
- Due to the materials used, the bag can be used directly as a terrarium soil additive.
- This species of springtail has the ability to eat invasive mites and nematodes but will prioritise other food when available.
